This set of pages results from the IEC SyC Smart Energy experts’ assessment and is intended to depict the portfolio of International Standards which may be used to support Smart Grids/Energy deployment worldwide.
The objective is to facilitate interoperable solutions based on standards. This framework will assist Smart Grid system owners and interested parties to specify their smart grid solutions.
This document provides a selection guide, setting out, for the most common Smart Grid systems:
the set of possible “System Capabilities” they can support;
which standards may be used, where, and for which purpose.
