JWG3

The JWG3 has as main missions to map the main Use Cases over the relevant systems architectures. This includes:

Identify and rank possible standard gaps/overlaps/recommendations
Provide guidelines in offering standard users ways to select a most appropriate set of standards/specifications (either existing or coming, from IEC but possibly coming from other bodies) fulfilling the set of Use Cases. This includes the breakdown of Smart Energy scope into typical systems and system architectures. Such work to the publication a first edition of IEC/TR 63097 Smart Grid roadmap
Feed the IEC Smart Energy mapping tool with the above findings

The JWG3 is a join working group between IEC SyC Smart Energy and ISO/IEC JTC1/SC41 on Internet of Things (IoT) and Digital Twin. It therefore also aims to support the integration of IoT and Digital Twin technologies in the Smart Energy domain.

Cyber-Security Task Force (CSTF)

A specific Task Force (CSTF) has been set up in order to produce the cyber-security guidelines.

The aim of this Smart Grid Standardization Roadmap document is to provide standards users with guidelines to select the most appropriate set of standards and specifications based on Smart Energy use cases

A specific focus of the standardization landscape of the Energy and data interfaces of users connected to the Smart Grid (to come)
